3-1/16" 5K Tandem Blowout Preventer
Wireline PCE > Blowout Preventers
Product Details
A blowout preventer (BOP) is an assembly of specialized high-pressure valves that can be controlled remotely via a hydraulic system or manually if required. A BOP is used to provide protection against an uncontrolled release of crude oil and/or natural gas from a well (a blowout).
Hydraulic actuators compress the rams around the line from each side creating a seal, which contains the well pressure below the rams. Equalizing blocks located across each ram assembly equalize pressure across the ram sets.
Lee Specialties wireline BOP’s are available in single, tandem, triple, and quad configurations with ID’s up to 7-3/8” and working pressure ratings up to 15,000 psi. If you don’t see the BOP you’re looking for here, we have and continue to manufacture a large variety. If you require further information or would like to request a quote, please contact us today.
